Summer Group Lessons
Find a friend or two and form a group for discounted rates!
Summer group lessons will be held June 20-August 12.
Summer group lessons will be scheduled and billed for the entire summer. Please check your travel and camp schedules before scheduling lessons.
Group lessons will take place in-person at my home studio in Columbia, MD.

Summer group lessons will be scheduled and billed for the entire summer. Please check your travel and camp schedules before scheduling lessons.

Group Lesson Details:
- Group lessons will focus on instrument technique and ensemble playing.
- A “group” will be 2-4 students who are at the same playing ability level. Groups may consist of any combination of violin and viola students.
- Students and families are responsible for finding friends to join your group. Ask your school friends!
- 30 and 45-minute options available
- 30 minutes for elementary aged students
- 45 minutes for middle & high school aged students
- All students should be available for all scheduled group lessons. Families are responsible for coordinating schedules before scheduling group lessons.
- In the event that one or more members of the group become not available during a scheduled lesson, the group lesson can either (1) be rescheduled for another week as long as it occurs between June 20 and August 12, or (2) the remaining members attend the lesson as planned. There are no refunds for group members who miss a scheduled lesson.

45-minute group lesson
- 2 elementary students - $20 per student
- 3-4 elementary students $15 per student
45-minute group lesson
- 2 middle/high school students - $25 per student
- 3-4 middle/high school students - $20 per student
Summer Billing
Summer Group Lessons are billed at the beginning of the summer period (June 20-August 12). Payment is expected within 7 days of receiving your invoice. Before you submit payment for lessons, please check your calendar for any conflicts so that lessons can be rescheduled to accommodate camps, vacations, appointments, etc. If you need to make changes to the lesson schedule on your invoice, please email me with changes before you pay. You will receive an updated invoice.
Venmo and PayPal payments are preferred.
LESSON CANCELATION POLICY
24-hour notice is required for canceling a scheduled lesson. Canceled lessons could possibly be rescheduled for another week during the month or credit will be given for the next month.
There are no refunds or credits for same-day cancelations.
HEALTH POLICY
If your child or any member of your family is experiencing COVID-19 symptoms or has been in contact with someone who has tested positive for COVID-19, please do not come to your lesson. Contact Mrs. McKay ASAP to discuss options.
If your child is not feeling well on the day of their lesson, please do not come to your lesson. Contact Mrs. McKay ASAP to discuss options.

- Shoes are not to be worn inside the studio. You may remove your shoes once you come inside the front door.
- Parents & siblings are asked to wait outside or in your vehicle during your child’s lesson.
