About Amanda McKay
I specialize in string instrument education for elementary through high school aged students. I have taught private violin and viola lessons for last 20 years and taught Orchestra in the public schools at both the elementary and middle school level for the last 19 years.
My teaching focuses on strong instrument technique, building musicality, and developing a love and appreciation for music.
I earned my Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the University of Maryland in 2005 and my Master of Arts in Teaching with National Board Certification with a focus on early to middle childhood orchestra from National University in 2010.
